South Korean movie ‘‘ drew 26,373 admissions yesterday (July 15th), as it edged out Hollywood blockbuster ‘‘ to place third on the local box office chart.

‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ drew 25,488 admissions on the same day to trail ‘Confession’ in 4th place, but still brought its accumulated admission numbers to 4.96 million, as it neared the magical 5 million milestone.

The box office leader went to another Hollywood blockbuster ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’, which drew 138,352 admissions yesterday, and brought its accumulated admissions to 1,804,955. South Korean movie ‘The Divine Move’ came in second with 89,739 admissions.

Meanwhile, ‘The Signal’ and ‘Mourning Grave’ came in 5th and 6th respectively. Lee Sun Kyun’s ‘A Hard Day’ is still showing great momentum at the box office even though it’s been airing for more than a month now, as it brought in 4,572 admissions yesterday, to place 7th on the box office chart.
